4-3-5 Permit Does Not Allow Violation

The issuance of a permit does not allow violations of any of the requirements or provisions of the building or zoning code, even if shown by plans or other documents but not corrected by the superintendent of buildings or building chairman when application was made, nor the village, its department of buildings or officers liable for the cost to make such building or structure comply with the building or zoning code. 1-2-2 PUBLIC UTILITY ORDINANCES

No ordinance relating to railroads or railroad crossings with streets and other public ways, or relating to the conduct, duties, service or rates of public utilities shall be repealed by virtue of the adoption of this Village Code or by virtue of the preceding Section, excepting as this Village Code may contain provisions for such matters, in which case this Village Code shall be considered as amending such ordinance or ordinances in respect of such provisions only.
